Food Prepping - A great way to encourage healthy habits.
We all know how important fresh and healthy foods are. One way to help keep this important lifestyle going is by prepping foods once a week.
Benefits of Food Prepping
It saves you time and clean up during your busy work week
It makes choosing healthy food options easier
It can save you money by not eating out or making frequent grocery store trips
How to Food Prep
Keep it simple like cutting up veggies ahead of time for daily salads or snacking
Cook enough whole grains such as Quinoa, Farrow, Brown Rice to last all week
Make enough hummus or salsa to last a week and use it for snacking or adding to meals
Roast a large pan of veggies to add to your grains for Budda bowls or as a side dish for other meals
Once you prepare the meals store them in one meal serving sizes so you can take them for lunch or have them handy for dinner.
If possible, avoid storing your food in plastic containers. Glass or ceramic is a safer option for food storage and makes warming up food easier.
Be creative with your meal prep and have fun.
